Take Root Collection

This show presents the opposition of my anxieties, feelings of loneliness, fearing an uncertain climate future, desperation for simplification.
For weeks I spent every morning writing about the world I hope for my future niece to live in. It was filled with friendships, familiars, nature, meditation, understanding, process in chaos. When I filled every page in my practice, I realized it doesn’t actually seem impossible to achieve, together.
Instead of running away, wishing for heaven after death, building apocalyptic bunkers, I wonder what would happen if we would take root with what we have? What if we chose to see the potential and the mystical in our ordinary?
Our Earth is alive with connections as we are, and that is magical.
These pieces attempt to convey my process of discovery.
